- What is it?
- The Record on Appeal contains all the documents that were filed in your case, any exhibits submitted, and a record of what was said at the hearing in an audio recording.
- Why is this needed?
- An appellate court may not consider any new facts or evidence. It must rely solely on the facts that were presented to the Small Claims court.
- When will this happen?
- The County Court clerk will send the Record on Appeal within 42 days from when the Notice of Appeal was filed. The Record will not be sent if you failed to complete one of the steps in the checklist.
