Contesting a Judgment in County Court or Small Claims Court
For information on a small claims or county court appeal, see Instructions to File a Small Claims or County Civil Appeal (JDF 126). For information regarding post-trial motions see Colorado Rules of County Court Civil Procedure 359-362. For appeals or post-trial motions you should probably consult an attorney.
If the court grants a stay, then the judgment creditor cannot use procedures described below until decision on appeal or post-trial motion.
Note: You may be required to provide a bond and Judgment amount will continue to accrue interest during appeal.
