Contesting a Judgment in District Court

For information on post-trial motions see Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure 59-62. Judgment debtor should probably consult an attorney regarding post-trial motions and appeals in District Court.

If the Court grants a stay, then the judgment creditor cannot go forward with the court collection procedures until there is a decision on appeal or post-trial motion. Note: You  may be required to provide a bond and Judgment amount will continue to accrue interest during appeal.
