I have filed a writ, the garnishee has answered, but the debtor objects
Judgment Debtor’s Right to Object
After you complete the steps to file a Writ of Continuing Garnishment, Garnishee will answer the writ and send a copy of their answer and any calculations to the judgment debtor. The judgement debtor will then have 14 days to object.
If a judgment debtor objects, then hearing on the objection will be held within 14 days. The court will inform judgment creditor of hearing date.
If the judgment debtor does not object, or after an objection is settled at the hearing, the garnishee will send nonexempt earnings to the court, and the court will forward that payment to you.
