What to do if I have an attorney (or lawyer) who is representing me

Notice of Attorney Representation

If you would like for your attorney to represent you in the Small Claims case, your attorney must file a Notice of Representation by Attorney with the court at least 7 days before your first trial date. After you notify the court that an attorney will be representing you, then the person suing you may also elect to be represented by an attorney. Read Colorado Rule of Civil Procedure for Small Claims Courts, Rule 520 for more information on attorney representation in small claims court (see below for a link to the rule).
