Information for people who can’t afford to pay court costs. If you are getting public benefits, are a low-income person, or do not have enough money to pay for your household’s basic needs and your court fees, you can fill out a "fee waiver."
- APPROVAL - With an approval of the fee waiver, you won’t have to pay court costs for starting a case, responding to a case, filing a jury demand, or appealing a court decision. The Courts or Judge will determine if you qualify to have your fees waived after you complete the form.
- DENIAL – If the Court denies the request for a fee waiver, you will have to pay the filing fee to file any paperwork into the case.
